While a psychiatric assessment is not mandatory in order to be accepted for an assisted death (unless mental or neurological illness is present) in Switzerland, a Veronica protocol could be a useful addition to the personal file that each organisation is obliged to compile and make available to the authorities on the occasion of each assisted death.
